This is a desert, deserts are known to be hot. Try not coming here when it's hot because there is absolutely no shade at all. When you come here, make sure to stop by the visitor's center. We went to many national parks and paid close to $100 and Derek was nice enough to tell us if they are still active and not expired, we can use that to get a annual card! This was awesome since we always go to parks and we end up paying 20 or 30 bucks a time! When you begin, know there is only a loop for non 4X4. The rest of the roads are 4x4 only. This is all dirt road but it's maintained dirt road and a 8 mile loop! Now you have to know that there isn't really many designated parking spots so if you do pull over, make sure pull over all the way to the side. While there is many, many cactus, that's all the park is. Well that's for the west side of the park. East side of the park is more of a mountain type setting instead of a desert. You probably won't be able to both regions unless you start early in the morning. It was great seeing it and probably would have been better if it was cooler than the 100 degree scorching weather

Great National Park. The Saguaros are breathtaking. Nice visitor center. I only had the chance to visit the East Park. The drive through the park is very nice and there are plenty of places where you can pull of and admire the Saguaros. I hope to get to visit the west park someday and also be able to visit when the saguaros are actually in bloom, which is in the spring.

Both districts are great. If you don't do long hikes you can see both of them in a day. The light in the late afternoon is amazing. Ingress has a fee but the interagency national park pass works here.
